Today I am reviewing a fabulous product from MAC- Prep + Prime Natural radiance that has been recently launched in India…

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance

Price: Rs.2,250  for 50 ml

Shelf Life: 24 months

This is basically a face primer but hydrates and cares for the skin as well ‘coz it has vitamin E and C apart from Shea Butter, Chestnut and white willow.

A face primer is a product that is applied before foundation and has oil controlling properties and makes the foundation last much longer.

MAC Prep+Prime is very light on the skin and spreads easily on the face. One needs only half a pump/ single pump to cover the  entire face. I have recently started using it and found it to be quite an amazing product, especially as it lends a natural glow to my skin thanks to the very fine Golden Pearl powder added to it.

It might be an expensive product but a little goes a long way, so its a good value for money….especially if you are on-the-go girl who doesn’t have time for touch ups and wants to look fresh all day….I am quite elated with this product and Highly Recommend it!

Today I am reviewing a juicy lipstick from Chambor’s latest collection- Rouge Plump+ in shade no. 774.

What makes Rouge Plump+ so unique?

The answer in its formula…Rouge Plump+ contains Green Pea Extracts, which boost collagen and elastin production; adding sensuality and volume to your lips. While the cooling and stimulating sensation of menthol in Rouge Plump+ leaves your lips feeling refreshed.

Chambor Rouge Plump+ Lipstick no. 774

Price: Rs. 745/- for 2.5 g

This is a richly textured and highly pigmented lipstick. You need just one swipe to get its full color. Shade no. 774 falls into my favorite ‘rust’ lipcolor with brown undertones. This is a great color for our Indian skintone and instantly livens up the face.

The formula is super moisturizing and the lipstick glides across the lips like a dream. Chambor Rouge Plump+ packaging is similar to its ‘Truly Lasting’ range; only the packaging here has leather like texture.  The lipstick gives a minty sensation like the Revlon Moisture Stay Lipsticks. It stays on for 2-2.5 hours with minimal eating and drinking, but vanishes after a full meal.

Though I love the luxurious feel of the lipstick, I was disappointed to notice that the moisturizing part vanished from my lips in about half an hour.

My Views:

Yays:

• Super gorgeous color
• Highly pigmented
• Moisturizing
• Smooth texture
• Decent packaging
• Wide range of colors to select from

Nays:

• Mighty expensive
• Staying power could have been better
• The moisturizing property vanishes in 30 minutes, leaving the lips a little dry
• Not sure about the Plumping part-my lips are plumped enough naturally!

Here’s a review of a super moisturizing lipstick – L’oreal Color Riche in Divine Wine.

L’oreal Color Riche Divine Wine  is a mauve shade with no shimmer but isn’t matte finish. It is super moisturizing and a very beautiful color-ideal for workplace as well.

The lipstick has a luxurious texture, very smooth, moisturizing and makes the lippies look juicy  It stays on for about 2 hours with minimal eating and drinking and leaves a very faint color behind.

The Color Riche collection has many beautiful shades for our skin-tones- so you can find one that suits you. Its misturizing formula makes it ideal for winters.

My Views:

Yays:

• Luxuriously rich and super moisturizing formula
• Beautiful packaging
• Nice selection of color in this range
• Divine Wine is especially apt for our skintone

Nays:

• My lipstick broke…that too in winters!!
• Expensive
• Low staying power

Colorbar Ultimate Eyeliner Italian Green is a felt tip eyeliner ‘pen’ in beautiful teal-green color. It offers ease of application and glides on effortlessly.

It hasn’t dried out (as yet) and the tip is really sharp-so its great for making winged liner For Rs. 499/-, it is a bit pricey, but its worth it because of its color, formula and pigmentation.

It is available in Black and there’s a gorgeous ‘French Blue’ as well.

Highly recommended!

• B-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l colour

• Super easy to use felt tip liner-great for beginners or winged liner novice
• Formula doesn’t dry out (like other felt tip liners )
• Good staying power
• Water resistant not waterproof (it might be a con for some, pro for others)
• Doesn’t create raccoon eyes when splashed with water –as many of us remove make-up with water and face wash/soap

 

Nays:

• Rs. 499/- for 1 ml product is expensive

Revlon Nail Enamel Peacock Blue- Review and NOTD

Hi everyone,

Here’s another review of a gorgeous Revlon nail paint I had picked some time ago-Peacock Blue.

It is a gorgeous peacock blue color with very fine shimmer. The color is apt for the festive season and the winters

Report Card:

Yays:

• Gorgeous color
• Very opaque
• Dries fairly quickly
• Reasonably priced (seeing many of the popular nail enamels cost Rs. 200 and above now)
• Lot of color options in this new range of Revlon nail colors

Nays:

• Low staying power (for me)
• Stained my nails yellow

Score: 4/5

(yeah, despite the staining part,  it is a beautiful shade, no doubt)
