Chambor Jewel Metallic Eye Shadow Crayon #2-Review

4 Jul

Hi Everyone,

Today I am reviewing a travel friendly and long-lasting eye shadow -Chambor Jewel Metallic Eye Shadow Crayon #2

Price: Rs. 545/-

This creamy eye shadow is light plumy/mauvish with shimmer that can easily be used as an everyday color if applied with a light hand. This eye shadow comes in ‘pencil’ form and doesn’t require a brush for application (though you can use one to blend it).

I was pretty disappointed with Chambor Jewel Metallic Eye Shadow Crayon #1…the color hardly showed up on my eyelids and the glitter went everywhere 😦

But still, I went ahead and got the No.2 crayon and I am glad I did as it has turned out to be a long lasting, travel friendly and super easy to apply eyeshadow 🙂

  • Very Easy to apply
  • No need for brush-can be blended with fingers
  • Good Staying power
  • Can be used as an everyday eyeshadow as well as on special occasions-just layer it up for more intensity
  • Travel friendly

  • Needs to be sharpened-product wastage
  • A little expensive for a single eyeshadow

Report Card:

I really enjoy using this eyeshadow especially if I am running late but still need to do a bit of eye makeup. Its super easy to use and you don’t need to worry about carrying a brush with it and yeah its long lasting…so  all-in-all a great buy 🙂 a must for the lady on-the-go!

Hope you liked the review, do write your comments below.

Cheers 🙂

Maybelline Color Tattoo -Fierce and Tangy- Review and EOTD

1 Jul

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am reviewing another fantastic product from Maybelline- Color Tattoo in Fierce and Tangy.

These cream eye shadows have been around for some time and have been a huge hit.

Maybelline color tattoo fierce n tangy2Price: Rs.350/-  for 4 gms.

Maybelline color tattoo fierce n tangy3To be honest, I was a little apprehensive while buying this colour ‘coz it’s a little eccentric, shocking color that can go horribly wrong if over applied…especially on my eyes/skintone. But I was so wrong…I ended up with three ways to use this wonderful product.

  • First as an eyeshadow base: Since it is a cream shadow so it can easily hold powder eyeshadow in place.
  • Second, well as an eyeshadow: if applied lightly it opens the eyes instantly. It gives a nice, natural ‘wide eyed’ look to the eyes and makes them look fresh. Remember to use a very light layer, apply your mascara and you are good to go. This is the little trick I discovered while applying this shadow.
  • Lastly, for some dramatic eye make up-layer your Fierce and Tangy and play up with colorful eyeliners for some bright, neon eye make up 🙂 You can also pair it with a green eyeliner and you would be all set for Indian Independence Day celebrations!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Fierce and Tangy EOTD

  • Versatile Color
  • Fantastic Staying power
  • Can be applied with fingers-no need to have a brush
  • Decently priced
  • Good quantity

Can’t think of any except some might find this color too loud or neon

Report Card:

5/5 🙂

I am glad I bought this color and I hope you all would give it a try too 🙂

Cheers 🙂

Lakme 9 to 5 Scarlet Drill Lipstick Review

24 Jun

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend 🙂 Here is a review of one of my recently bought Lipstick from Lakme’s all-new 9 to 5 range-Scarlet Drill.

Lakme scarlet drill 3

Price: Rs: 400/-

The brand-new lipstick range comes in metallic pink case with ‘9 to 5’ printed on it.

Lakme scarlet drill 5

I wasn’t aware of the new range but got to know about it at a cosmetics store. The collection has beautiful earthy colors to choose from that would suit the Indian skin tones fairly easily.

Scarlet Drill looks like a beautiful  pink on my lips with a dash of red and orange to it. The best thing about these  (I have tried three from this range!) lipsticks is that they are pigmented, are matte but creamy aaaaand they stayed on my lips for about 2 to 2.5 hours! (Woot! Woot!)

Yep that’s a reason worth cheering for because I have tried sooo many lipsticks that promise to stay on and on but it’s rare to find one that really stayed on my lips. So yeah I am delighted to discover these beauties!

This lipstick easily survives tea and snacks and stays on as a visibly beautiful stain on my lips 🙂

Lakme scarlet drill 2

  • Beautiful color
  • Reasonable price
  • Decent staying power

  • Matte lipstick-might dry lips in winters
  • Wish it had more staying power 😉

So ladies, go ahead and splurge on these beauties, you won’t regret it 🙂

Cheers 🙂

Lotus Herbals Purestay Lipstick Apricot Bliss-Review, Swatch and LOTD

26 May

Hi everyone,

I know I had almost vanished from my blog for quite some time, but I am here now with another review. Today, I’m reviewing a beautiful lipstick from Lotus Purestay range- Apricot Bliss.

Lotus Apricot Bliss5

What lotus says about the Purestay Lipsticks:

Purestay Lip colour is preservative free, natural, long lasting, hydrating lip colour. One swipe and your lips are ready for a healthier shine all day long without any loss of moisture ensuring a flawless finish. SPF 20 gives UV protection.

Price: Rs. 495/- for 4.2 gms of product.

This is the first time that I have used a Lotus cosmetic product. It comes in a pink satin pouch encased in a cardboard tube. The color looks like a beautiful pink to me. When applied it gives a shiny appearance but settles to a matt finish.

Lotus Purestay Lipstick – Apricot Bliss

It is a full coverage lipstick and the color would suit Indian skin tones well. It lasted for about 2-3 hrs. on me. It is touted as a long-lasting lipstick and hence is a bit drying on my lips.

The thing I liked most about the product is its color…one of the very few pinks that I have really liked 🙂

Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Liner- Review Swatch EOTD

3 Feb

Hello beautiful people,

I had been thinking of posting this review loooong back, wonder why I didn’t….any hoo….here it is 🙂

I am reviewing a liquid eyeliner from Maybelline New York- Hyperglossy Liquid Liner in Black.

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner

Rs. 225 for 3 grams.

It comes in a stylish little black triangle bottle- very sleek 🙂 and has a felt tip brush.

The felt tip reminds me of L’oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss, though this one is kinda wobbly, but I could use it well after practicing it once/twice. The felt tip helps in making thin lines -ideal for making flicks.

Single coat gives a nice glossy finish and the ‘just applied’ look.

All in all it is a good product for the price, ideal for make up beginners and cat eye novice…

My Views:

  • Pretty packaging
  • Easy to use brush/felt tip brush
  • Very decently priced
  • Glossy finish
  • Gives a freshly applied look

  • Low staying power
  • Need to get used to the tip-not as firm as Revlon Colorstay Liner’s felt tip

For this price I think its a very decent product. Must Try!

MAC Prep+Prime Natural Radiance -Review

30 Jan

Hello beautiful people,

Today I am reviewing a fabulous product from MAC- Prep + Prime Natural radiance that has been recently launched in India…

MAC Prep n Prime 2

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance

Price: Rs.2,250  for 50 ml

Shelf Life: 24 months

This is basically a face primer but hydrates and cares for the skin as well ‘coz it has vitamin E and C apart from Shea Butter, Chestnut and white willow.

A face primer is a product that is applied before foundation and has oil controlling properties and makes the foundation last much longer.

MAC Prep+Prime is very light on the skin and spreads easily on the face. One needs only half a pump/ single pump to cover the  entire face. I have recently started using it and found it to be quite an amazing product, especially as it lends a natural glow to my skin thanks to the very fine Golden Pearl powder added to it.

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance

It might be an expensive product but a little goes a long way, so its a good value for money….especially if you are on-the-go girl who doesn’t have time for touch ups and wants to look fresh all day….I am quite elated with this product and Highly Recommend it!

Hope you enjoyed the review…don’t forget to comment below 🙂
