Chambor Jewel Metallic Eye Shadow Crayon #2-Review

4 Jul

Hi Everyone,

Today I am reviewing a travel friendly and long-lasting eye shadow -Chambor Jewel Metallic Eye Shadow Crayon #2

chambor1

Price: Rs. 545/-

This creamy eye shadow is light plumy/mauvish with shimmer that can easily be used as an everyday color if applied with a light hand. This eye shadow comes in ‘pencil’ form and doesn’t require a brush for application (though you can use one to blend it).

I was pretty disappointed with Chambor Jewel Metallic Eye Shadow Crayon #1…the color hardly showed up on my eyelids and the glitter went everywhere 😦

But still, I went ahead and got the No.2 crayon and I am glad I did as it has turned out to be a long lasting, travel friendly and super easy to apply eyeshadow 🙂

Yays:

  • Very Easy to apply
  • No need for brush-can be blended with fingers
  • Good Staying power
  • Can be used as an everyday eyeshadow as well as on special occasions-just layer it up for more intensity
  • Travel friendly

Nays:

  • Needs to be sharpened-product wastage
  • A little expensive for a single eyeshadow

Report Card:

4.5/5

I really enjoy using this eyeshadow especially if I am running late but still need to do a bit of eye makeup. Its super easy to use and you don’t need to worry about carrying a brush with it and yeah its long lasting…so  all-in-all a great buy 🙂 a must for the lady on-the-go!

Hope you liked the review, do write your comments below.

Cheers 🙂

Maybelline Color Tattoo -Fierce and Tangy- Review and EOTD

1 Jul

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am reviewing another fantastic product from Maybelline- Color Tattoo in Fierce and Tangy.

These cream eye shadows have been around for some time and have been a huge hit.

Maybelline color tattoo fierce n tangy2Price: Rs.350/-  for 4 gms.

Maybelline color tattoo fierce n tangy3To be honest, I was a little apprehensive while buying this colour ‘coz it’s a little eccentric, shocking color that can go horribly wrong if over applied…especially on my eyes/skintone. But I was so wrong…I ended up with three ways to use this wonderful product.

  • First as an eyeshadow base: Since it is a cream shadow so it can easily hold powder eyeshadow in place.
  • Second, well as an eyeshadow: if applied lightly it opens the eyes instantly. It gives a nice, natural ‘wide eyed’ look to the eyes and makes them look fresh. Remember to use a very light layer, apply your mascara and you are good to go. This is the little trick I discovered while applying this shadow.
  • Lastly, for some dramatic eye make up-layer your Fierce and Tangy and play up with colorful eyeliners for some bright, neon eye make up 🙂 You can also pair it with a green eyeliner and you would be all set for Indian Independence Day celebrations!
