Maybelline Color Tattoo -Fierce and Tangy- Review and EOTD

1 Jul

Hey Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Today I am reviewing another fantastic product from Maybelline- Color Tattoo in Fierce and Tangy.

These cream eye shadows have been around for some time and have been a huge hit.

Maybelline color tattoo fierce n tangy2Price: Rs.350/-  for 4 gms.

Maybelline color tattoo fierce n tangy3To be honest, I was a little apprehensive while buying this colour ‘coz it’s a little eccentric, shocking color that can go horribly wrong if over applied…especially on my eyes/skintone. But I was so wrong…I ended up with three ways to use this wonderful product.

  • First as an eyeshadow base: Since it is a cream shadow so it can easily hold powder eyeshadow in place.
  • Second, well as an eyeshadow: if applied lightly it opens the eyes instantly. It gives a nice, natural ‘wide eyed’ look to the eyes and makes them look fresh. Remember to use a very light layer, apply your mascara and you are good to go. This is the little trick I discovered while applying this shadow.
  • Lastly, for some dramatic eye make up-layer your Fierce and Tangy and play up with colorful eyeliners for some bright, neon eye make up 🙂 You can also pair it with a green eyeliner and you would be all set for Indian Independence Day celebrations!

Can’t think of any except some might find this color too loud or neon

Report Card:

5/5 🙂

I am glad I bought this color and I hope you all would give it a try too 🙂

Cheers 🙂

Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Liner- Review Swatch EOTD

3 Feb

Hello beautiful people,

I had been thinking of posting this review loooong back, wonder why I didn’t….any hoo….here it is 🙂

I am reviewing a liquid eyeliner from Maybelline New York- Hyperglossy Liquid Liner in Black.

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner

Rs. 225 for 3 grams.

It comes in a stylish little black triangle bottle- very sleek 🙂 and has a felt tip brush.

The felt tip reminds me of L’oreal Superliner Carbon Gloss, though this one is kinda wobbly, but I could use it well after practicing it once/twice. The felt tip helps in making thin lines -ideal for making flicks.

Single coat gives a nice glossy finish and the ‘just applied’ look.

All in all it is a good product for the price, ideal for make up beginners and cat eye novice…

My Views:

  • Pretty packaging
  • Easy to use brush/felt tip brush
  • Very decently priced
  • Glossy finish
  • Gives a freshly applied look

  • Low staying power
  • Need to get used to the tip-not as firm as Revlon Colorstay Liner’s felt tip

For this price I think its a very decent product. Must Try!

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pomegranate Punk Review EOTD

3 Dec

Hi everyone!

Hope your weekend had been enjoyable.  Today, I am reviewing a product that I am crazy about- Maybelline Color Tattoo in  Pomegranate Punk.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pomegranate Punk

Price: Rs. 350/- for 4 g

Maybelline Color Tattoos are  creamy eye-shadows that can be used as an eye shadow base as well,  so quite like the MAC Paintpots, but lot more easy on the pocket 😉

The shade reminds me of Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Cream Plum – burgundy 🙂 The color is plum mixed with dark red, ideal for Indian skin tone and it has very fine shimmer which doesn’t look OTT at all even when you pile it on.

These are so easy to blend, and work well with fingers and stay on very easily for 5-6 hours without creasing (even on oily eyelids).

Here’s my Report Card:

  • Beautiful shade-great for Indian skin tone
  • Super easy to apply
  • Stays put easily for 5-6 hours without creasing
  • Shimmer doesn’t spread
  • Great price
  • Free brush with every jar 🙂

Ummm…can’t think of any….. 🙂

Score: 10/5 😛

Maybelline Color Tattoos are fabulously formulated, super easy to blend and are suitably priced, so grab your eye tattoos soon!

Bye for now,

Maybelline Express Finish Turquoise Green-Review and NOTD

7 Nov

Namaste Friends,

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather with loads of shopping sprees, spending time with loved ones and stocking up on beautiful nail colors and make up 😛

Continuing with my Festive Make up mini-series, I am reviewing another gorgeous festival-appropriate nail color-Maybelline Express Finish Turquoise Green.

Maybelline Express Finish Turquoise Green

It is a stunning metallic turquoise color with a hint of peacock blue. Its metallic sheen beautifully reflects light making it an ideal ‘party nail color’ 🙂

Maybelline Express Finish Turquoise Green

The formula of this nail color glides like a dream and dries pretty fast too. The best thing I like about this nail color is its brush- it wonderfully fanned out to cover my entire nail in one go!

Maybelline Express Finish Turquoise Green NOTD

Turquoise Green looks translucent in one coat, so one needs to put on two to three coats to get an opaque color.

Time for the Report Card:

  • Brilliant color
  • Smooth texture
  • Awesome brush-coats entire nail in one go
  • Nail polish dries pretty fast-true to its 40 second claim

At Rs. 200/-, it might be an expensive nail color for some

I am very happy with this nail color, mainly because it applies smoothly, dries fast and the sturdy brush makes applying the nail polish a dream 🙂

Have you got this nail color? How has been your experience?

Enjoy the festive season, do comment below.

Bye for now:)

Maybelline Express Finish Nail Colour-Vintage Mauve Review

1 Nov

Hi everyone,

Today I am reviewing a gorgeous nail color from Maybelline New York’s Express Finish range-‘Vintage Mauve’.

It was an impulse purchase (as is usual while buying a nail paint :P) that turned out to be good.

Maybelline Express Finish Vintage Mauve Review

Price: Rs. 200 for a 10 ml. product

Maybelline Express Finish Vintage Mauve review

It is a bright color but can be worn easily without looking OTT.

Here’s the Report Card:

  •     Cheerful color 🙂
  •     Attractive packaging-I especially like the metallic-steel screw cap
  •     Good quantity

  • The nail paint needs to be kept away from direct air while applying because it clumps and becomes thick, making it difficult to apply
  • Rs. 200/- is expensive for a nail colour

Do you like Maybelline’s Express finish range? Which colours do you have?

Do drop in with your comments.

Bye for now, enjoy the gorgeous weather…

Maybelline Baby Lips-Cherry Kiss review

27 Oct

Pucker Up Baby!

First, there was only Boroline, then came Vaseline lip guards in those little tubes and now we have them tinted, color changing, in a tub, tube, swiveling in and out to take care of our lips-they never had it so good 🙂

So here’s the latest ‘baby’ for those who love to pamper their pout- Maybelline Baby Lips. I picked it up in the ‘shade’ Cherry Kiss. It comes in a twist up tube with a screw at the bottom which reminds me of Fevistick! And it is just as messy! It took me a while to get used to the ‘carefully twisting up and down’ process as I messed up with it and squashed the poor tube a couple of times.

Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Kiss

Price: Rs. 150/- for 4.5 gm.

Now for the lip balm- it has a slight hint of color and glides on smoothly and instantly moisturizes dry, chapped lips. As is usual with the lip balms, these also vanish from the lips quite fast. A sip and a bite and they’re gone. In my experience, they are almost similar to Nivea lip balms except these might be a bit more tinted. Nivea Fruity Shine lip balms cost around Rs. 129/- for a 4.8 gm product, so the Baby Lips are definitely more expensive. In the end, it is upto you which one you prefer.

Free Lip Balm Holder with Maybelline Baby Lips-pucker up baby!

Time now for the Report Card:

  • Super moisturizing
  • Fun packaging-it is the major attraction
  • Just the right tint
  • Has SPF 16

  • Messy packaging- at least for me
  • Expensive
  • Hardly stays for an hour

If you want a lip balm that does its job and looks cute in your bag, then go ahead…wait, I guess most of you have already got one, haven’t you 😛

Hope you enjoyed this post, do tell me how did you find your Baby Lips balm 🙂

See you 🙂
